Ernie hired me to teach arithmetic in Annapolis at the Naval Academy in 1981. The Gales lived right behind "K" Building next to the senior protestant chaplain Larry Ellis. We knew we were living in Shangri-La. The Holts upstairs, the Thackers next door, "Those were the days, my friend; we thought they would never end..." We had "K" Building parties and the Gale girls to babysit for Navy football and other extra curricular events. I felt so blessed to have a solid Christian for a boss and neighbor. We drove up to Man's Choice, PA to the Navigator's retreat and enjoyed the blessings and fellowship near the sulfur springs. We still have the wooden slatted boxes made near by the facility. So many memories, so many friendships, so much love, and it all started with Ernie. Thank you, Sir, and bless you. I am so jealous you are in heaven and I am not. I am really looking forward to see you again my friend. bruce
